Job Summary

Spruce Hair is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our talented salon team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the beauty industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Salon Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the salon, including staff management, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise salon staff including stylists, receptionists, and support staff.

  • Create and maintain a positive, motivating work environment.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication of salon goals and updates.

  • Implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.

  • Handle staff concerns and conflicts professionally and promptly.

Client Experience:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and quality control.

  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively.

  • Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

  • Implement and oversee client retention programs.

Salon Operations:

  • Manage daily salon operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

  • Maintain salon cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.

  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking of products.

  • Implement and manage salon policies and procedures.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Coordinate retail sales promotions to increase revenue and client engagement.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local salon distributors, businesses and community organizations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Manager or similar role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Comfort with using Google Docs / Sheets and willingness to learn our salon scheduling software.

  • Solid understanding of retail and salon operations.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
